All of our products are produced to British Retail Consortium (BRC) ‘A’ Grade standard. We have all of the required Quality Assurance systems such as traceability, metal detection, HACCP, etc.
Steamed Dim Sum
The method of Steaming has played a major role in Oriental cooking. The Chinese have used steaming devices for over three thousand years, as evidenced by archeological finds of stone steamers from the province of Yunnan. Nowadays traditional bamboo steamers are used to cook dim sum dumplings. This is the best method to preserve the texture, flavor and nutrition of the ingredients.
Fried Dim sum
The most well known ‘fried dim sums’ are vegetable or mince pork spring rolls, War Tip (also known as Japanese Gyoza) and Wu Gok (Deep fried Taro in fluff pastry). Not to mention numerous other culinary creations the chef may come up with. Fried dim sums are wonderful starter dishes and go extremely well with a pint of beer!
Dim Sum Buns
‘Char Siu Bao’! Steam bun filled with honey roasted pork is probably one of the most popular dim sum and favorite amongst all ages and cultures. A restaurant must have ‘Char Siu Bao’ in their menu, if they call themselves a dim sum restaurant. At Sam pan we have also created a whole range of buns from savory to sweet that can be steamed, baked or deep fried. Surely we can tempt you to give your taste buds a treat with our buns!
